Die unabhängige ungarische Filmszene ist sehr klein und arbeitet mitunter im Verborgenen. Die Filme, die hierbei entstehen, arbeiten eine Vielzahl zeitaktueller und gesellschaftskritischer Themen auf. Die einen sprühen vor regelrechtem Witz, andere erschrecken durch ihre Realitätsnähe, schockieren oder stimmen traurig.

V. hat das Filmboard Karlsruhe ein Kurzfilmprogramm „Hungarian Shorts“ zusammengestellt, das im Rahmen des Independent Days 10|Filmfest in der Karlsruher Schauburg gezeigt wird. Das Filmprogramm spiegelt die Vielfalt der ungarischen Independent-Filmszene wider und bringt die Independent Days einen weiteren Schritt in Richtung Europäisches Filmfestival.
„Hungarian Shorts“ ist auch am Sonntag, 25. April 2010, um 17:00 Uhr, in der Schauburg zu sehen.
